The companies CHARALAMBIDES DAIRIES LTD and DELTA PROTYPO DAIRY INDUSTRY LTD notified the Service of the Commission for the Protection of Competition of an acquisition agreement, whereby DELTA PROTYPO DAIRY INDUSTRY LTD would acquire shares of the company CHARALAMBIDES DAIRIES LTD.
CHARALAMBIDES DAIRIES LTD is active in the field of processing, sales and distribution of dairy products of all nature. DELTA PROTYPO DAIRY INDUSTRY LTD is also active in the field of production and sales of dairy products.
Following the preliminary evaluation of the information contained in the notification form as filed by the companies, according to Schedule III of Law 22(I)/99, the Service of the CPC prepared a written report to the Commission, whereby it included its reasoned opinion. The Commission, after examining all the necessary information, it ascertain that the notified concentration raised serious doubts as to its compatibility with the competitive market and decided to set in motion a procedure for full investigation in regards to the affected markets
The Service of the CPC examined all the additional information, necessary for the completion of the investigation and prepared a written report to the Commission. The Commission, after examining all the necessary information, on the basis of section 26(a), it declared the concentration as being compatible with the competitive market.
