Notification of concentration between the companies OPAP, GLORY LEISURE HONDINGS LTD and GLORY TECHNOLOGY LTD

The Service of the Commission for the Protection of Competition announces that the Organismos Prognostikon Agonon Podosferou A.E. (OPAP) and the enterprises Glory Leisure Holdings Ltd and Glory Technology Ltd, with their notification to the Chairman and the members of the Commission notify that, in the 7/6/03 they have contracted an agreement in which OPAP proceeds in the acquisition of 90% of the share capital of Glory Leisure Holdings Ltd and 20% of the share capital of Glory Technology Ltd.

OPAP is a public company that resides in Athens and based on inter-country agreements that have been contracted between the Cypriot and Greek governments, carries out lucky games in Cyprus. OPAP is known in the wide Cypriot public via the games that organises (PROPO, LOTTO, Pro-po GOL, PROTO, TZOKER, GENIKO STIHIMA, EXTRA 5, SUPER 3).

Glory Leisure Holdings Ltd is a member of group of companies Glory Worldwide Holdings Ltd and is involved in the sector of offer of football bets of pre-determined danger.

Glory Technology Ltd is also a member of group of companies Glory Worldwide Holdings Ltd and is involved in the sector of growth of software for the offer of football bets of pre-determined danger.

According to Article 24 of The Control of Concentrations Between Enterprises Law of 1999, in case of a concentration for which a full investigation is carried out (Article 23), the Service provides, subsequent to the application of persons that have legal interest but do not participate in the concentration, an opportunity to submit their opinions in regards to the concentration at a way and time that the deadline set by Article 28 is not affected.
