The companies Intralot Betting Operations (Cyprus) Ltd and Royal Highgate Ltd notified the Service of the Commission for the Protection of Competition of an acquisition agreement, whereby Intralot Betting Operations (Cyprus) Ltd would acquire of 50% of the issued share capital plus 1 share of Royal Highgate Ltd.
Intralot was established in Cyprus on 20 November 2003, with the aim of participating directly and/or indirectly in betting, particularly in the acquisition of a stake in the listed Company Royal Highgate Ltd. Royal Highgate Ltd is a public undertaking, which offers all kinds of bets of pre-determined danger (fixed odds).
Following the preliminary evaluation of the information, it ascertain that the notified concentration does not raise any serious doubts as to its compatibility with the competitive market, and thus declared it as being compatible with the competitive market.
