The Service of the Commission for the Protection of Competition has received a notification of a concentration, concerning the proposed acquisition of the share capital of Adfil NV, by Compagnie de Saint-Gobain S.A., via Starcin Holding France S.A.S.
Starcin Holding France S.A.S is a company duly registered under the laws of France, wholly owned subsidiary of Compagnie de Saint-Gobain SA. Compagnie de Saint-Gobain SA, is a company duly registered under the laws of France, with shares listed in the Paris Stock Exchange. The target in this transaction is Adfil NV, a joint stock company duly registered under the laws of Belgium. Adfil NV is a Belgian group active in the development, production and marketing of synthetic fibers, a type of concrete reinforcement product that is structurally embedded into concrete before the concrete sets, to improve its strength and durability, without altering its chemical properties.
