The Service of the Commission for the Protection of Competition announces that the enterprises Total Aviation (Cyprus) Ltd and Petrolina (Holdings) Ltd, with their notification to the Chairman and the members of the Commission notify that, in the 3/10/03 they have contracted an agreement in which Petrolina (Holdings) Ltd proceeds in the acquisition of 100% of the share capital of Total Aviation (Cyprus) Ltd.
Petrolina (Holdings) Ltd is a public undertaking, which trades petroleum products in Cyprus and maintains facilities for the receipt, storage and other handling of such products. Total Aviation (Cyprus) Ltd, was established in Cyprus in 2001 as a subsidiary of Total Outre-Mer S.A. based in Paris and it is active in the sector of fuel supply in aircrafts at the Larnaca Airport.
According to Article 24 of The Control of Concentrations Between Enterprises Law of 1999, in case of a concentration for which a full investigation is carried out (Article 23), the Service provides, subsequent to the application of persons that have legal interest but do not participate in the concentration, an opportunity to submit their opinions in regards to the concentration at a way and time that the deadline set by Article 28 is not affected.
