The Service of the Commission for the Protection of Competition has received a notification of a concentration concerning the acquisition of the share capital of Thermopatch Group by Avery Dennison Corporation, via Paxar B.V. and Paxar Canada Corporation.
Avery Dennison Corporation is a company duly registered under the laws of the State of Delaware of the United States of America. Avery Dennison Corporation manufactures pressure-sensitive materials and a variety of tickets, tags, labels and other converted products, as well as imprinting equipment and related solutions, as well as on-the-shelf pricing solutions.
The Thermopatch Group specializes in labels, trims and heat transfers for the sportswear, industrial laundry, workwear and hospitality industries. It also provides equipment, products and consumables for marking and identification products to various customers in the textile industry.
Paxar B.V. is a Dutch company with a dual purpose within Avery Dennison: (1) acting as a parent company holding controlling interests in other Avery Dennison entities and (2) acting as a service provider.
Paxar Canada Corporation is a corporation incorporated under the laws of Canada. It operates in Avery Dennison's “Identification Solutions” business for its Canadian operations.
