The Service of the Commission for the Protection of Competition received on behalf of Aer Rianta International (Middle East) W.L.L. notification of a proposed concentration according to Section 13 of the Control of Concentrations between Enterprises Law (Number 22(I)/99). The notification concerns the acquisition by Aer Rianta International (Middle East) W.L.L. of some of the share capital of CTC-ARI (F&B) Limited which belongs to ERMES DEPARTMENT STORES PUBLIC LIMITED.
Aer Rianta International (Middle East) W.L.L. is a company duly registered under the laws of Bahrain and is active, primarily, in the operation of duty-free shops and in the provision of administrative and technical services for the establishment, operation and management of duty-free shops in accordance with relevant agreements. Aer Rianta International (Middle East) W.L.L. already owns the remaining share capital of CTC-ARI (F & B) Limited.
CTC-ARI (F & B) Limited is a company duly registered under the laws of Cyprus. This company is a holding company with one investment in a company which is active in the operation and management of restaurants and coffee bars at the airports of Larnaca and Paphos in Cyprus.
