The Service of the Commission for the Protection of Competition announces that the enterprises Intralot Betting Operations (Cyprus) Ltd («Intralot») and Royal Highgate Ltd, with their notification to the Chairman and the members of the Commission notify that, in the 21/11/03 Intralot made a Public Offer for the acquisition of 50% of the issued share capital plus 1 share of Royal Highgate Ltd.
Intralot was established in Cyprus on November 20, 2003 with the aim of participating directly and/or indirectly in betting, particularly in the acquisition of a stake in the listed Company Royal Highgate Ltd.Royal Highgate Ltd is a public undertaking, which offers all kinds of bets of pre-determined danger (fixed odds).
According to Article 24 of The Control of Concentrations Between Enterprises Law of 1999, in case of a concentration for which a full investigation is carried out (Article 23), the Service provides, subsequent to the application of persons that have legal interest but do not participate in the concentration, an opportunity to submit their opinions in regards to the concentration at a way and time that the deadline set by Article 28 is not affected.
