On the 28th of September 2011, the Commission for the Protection of Competition received a notification of a proposed concentration by Bluedrip S.a.r.l. in accordance with Article 13 of the Control of Concentrations between Enterprises Law (Number 22(I)/99). The transaction concerns the acquisition of part of the share capital of Netafim Ltd by Bluedrip S.a.r.l.
Bluedrip S.a.r.l. is registered in accordance with the laws of Luxemberg kai is a vehicle controlled by Permira IV Fund. Permira IV Fund is controlled by Permira Holdings Ltd, which is the mother company of the Permira Group of companies. This group of companies also controls Permira II Fund and Permira III Fund which control a number of holding companies who invest in enterprises which are active in various sectors of the economy.
Netafim Ltd is registered in accordance with the laws of Israel and is active in the design, manufacturing and sale of irrigation systems. This company also offers a number of services for irrigation systems e.g. installation.
