The Commission for the Protection of Competition (CPC) has presented to the Committee on Financial and Budgetary Affairs of the House of Representatives its budget for 2006.
During the discussion of the budget the Chairman of the CPC, Mr George Christophides, presented the plan of actionφορ 2006 and the activities in detail of the Cyprus Commission for the Protection of Competition, within its role of enforcing the law and the principles of competition in Cyprus.
Mr Christophides stressed the increase in the workload of the Commission and its Service, indicating that at the moment more than 80 cases are being handled by the Commission and its Service, in addition to meeting its many obligations that arise from being a Member State of the European Union and the National Competition Authority.
