Notification of concentration between the companies Global Ports Investments Plc and APM Terminals B.V.

The Service of the Commission for the Protection of Competition received on behalf of APM Terminals B.V. and Transportation Investments Holding Ltd, notification of the proposed concentration according to Section 13 of the Control of Concentrations between Enterprises Law (Number 22(I)/99), concerning the purchase of share capital of Global Ports Investments Plc. by APM Terminals B.V..

With the completion of the proposed concentration, accordingly to the notification, APM Terminals B.V. will have acquired with Transportation Investments Holding Ltd the joint control of APM Terminals B.V..

Transportation Investments Holding Ltd is a company duly registered under the laws of the Republic of Cyprus. The group of companies that owns Transportation Investments Holding Ltd is active in the provision of transportation services and freight forwarding, such as rail transportation, container transportation, the handling of petroleum and petroleum products as well as the provision of charter services.

APM Terminals B.V. is a company duly registered under the laws of the Netherlands. APM Terminals B.V. is a subsidiary of AP Moller-Maersk A / S, who is a group of companies that has an extensive business network. The group is active in, the transportation of containers of deep and shallow water, the transportation of liquids, the provision of container terminals services, internal transportation, accounting, harbor towage, exploration, the production of oil and gas, retail and air transportation.

Global Ports Investments Plc is a company duly registered under the laws of the Republic of Cyprus, with shares listed on the London Stock Exchange. Global Ports Investments Plc is active in the transportation and storage of cargo containers and unpackaged dry bulk cargoes in ocean and inland container terminals, and the transportation and storage of liquid cargoes in ports.
