The Service of the Commission for the Protection of Competition received on behalf of Procter & Gamble Company and Fater S.p.A a notification of a proposed concentration according to Section 13 of the Control of Concentrations between Enterprises Law (Number 22(I)/99), concerning the acquisition of a part of Procter & Gamble Company whose activities are related to laundry aids by Fater S.p.A
Fater S.p.A is a company duly registered under tha laws of Italy. The said Company is a joint venture between Tenimenti Angelini S.p.A and Procter & Gamble Holding S.r.l. Fater S.p.A is active in the production and sales of diapers, adult incontinence products, sanitary napkins, and since 2012 with laundry additives.
Tenimenti Angelini S.p.A is a Company duly registered under the laws of Italy. The said compay belongs to Angelini group of Companies which produces and trades mainly pharmaceutical products and health care products.
Procter & Gamble Company is duly registered under the laws of Ohio (USA). It is the mother company of an international group of companies and is active in the production of home care products, beauty and health care products as well as baby care and family care products.
Procter & Gamble S.r.l. is a subsidiary of Procter & Gamble Company.
The target company has assets concerning the production, packaging, distribution, promotion and sale of laundry care products under the trade name ACE, which in combination with laundry detergents are used for removing stains, cleaning or whitening clothes.
