The Service of the Commission for the Protection of Competition has received a notification of a concentration, according to Section 10 of the Control of Concentrations between Enterprises Law of 2014, concerning the acquisition of the sole control of ARTiBack GmbH from Schwarz Group, via PGFI Zweite Beteiligungs-GmbH.
The Schwarz Group is active in the following sectors: (a) food retailing through Lidl and Kaufland stores, (b)production of food and beverage packaging materials and (c) food and beverage packaging through the Schwarz Produktion companies, (d) collection, sorting, processing and waste recycling as an integrated service provider in the field of waste management under the trade name PreZero. It is also active in the development of innovative digital products and services for the group companies under the Schwarz Digits company.
PGFI Zweite Beteiligungs-GmbH, is a limited liability company registered under the laws of Germany. PGFI belongs to the Schwarz Group, whose purpose is to invest in other companies, in particular to acquire, hold and sell investments, as well as to provide advisory services.
ARTiBack GmbH is the Target in this merger. It is a limited liability company duly registered under the laws of Germany. ARTiBack GmbH is active in the production of partially baked/frozen breads and pieces of dough that are baked-off at its customers’ point of sales.
