The Service of the Commission for the Protection of Competition on the 23rd of March 2010 received on behalf of Mytilineos Holdings S.A, owner of the 49,99% of Endesa Hellas, a proposed concentration according to Section 13 of the Control of Concentration between Enterprises Law (Number 22(I)/99), concerning the acquisition of the remaining 50.01% of Endesa Hellas, by Mytilineos Holdings S.A. The remaining percentage is currently owned by Endesa Desarrolo SL, which is the subsidiary company of Endesa S.A.
The main activities of Mytilineos Holdings S.A are the mining-metallurgy, engineering procurement construction, energy section and car industry in Greece and abroad.
Endesa S.A operates in the energy sector in the Mediterranean region, as well as some parts of the South America.
Endesa Hellas operates in the energy sector in Greece.
