The Service of the Commission for the Protection of Competition has received a notification of a concentration, according to Section 10 of the Control of Concentrations between Enterprises Law of 2014, concerning the acquisition of part of the share capital of sea chefs Cruise Services GmbH and sea chefs Holding AG from Bernhard Shulte Investment Holding GmbH.
Bernhard Schulte Investment Holding GmbH is a company incorporated under the laws of Germany and holds shares in shipping companies of the Schulte Group. The Schulte Group is a family business group, which through its companies, is active in the fields of ship ownership, ship management and ship crews (seafarers and technicians), marine software development, ship construction monitoring and other marine services (e.g. underwater inspections, repairs and maintenance, ship supply), technical/marine management and technical/marine crew management for cruise ships.
The Target in the proposed merger is sea chefs Cruise Services GmbH, a limited liability company incorporated under the laws of Germany, and sea chefs Holding AG, a limited liability company incorporated under the laws of Switzerland. The above mentioned companies are engaged in the provision of catering and hospitality services and the provision and management of staff employed in catering and hospitality services on cruise ships (sea and river).
