The Service of the Commission for the Protection of Competition received on behalf of Proteas Press Ltd, I.G. Kasoulides & Son Ltd and Litho Web Ltd notification of a proposed concentration according to Section 13 of the Control of Concentrations between Enterprises Law (Number 22(I)/99). The notification concerns the formation of a joint company.
Proteas Press Ltd is a company duly registered under the laws of Cyprus. This company deals with conducting typographical and printing operations and mainly prints newspapers, magazines, brochures, catalogues, business cards.
I.G. Kasoulides & Son Ltd is a company duly registered under the laws of Cyprus and is the holding company for the enterprises Hermes Media Press Ltd and Zavallis Litho Ltd. This company is active in printing and publishing, and deals mainly with the print of magazines, brochures, catalogues, business cards and general forms. Further, through its subsidiary Hermes Media Press Ltd it provides newspaper printing services.
Litho Web Ltd is a company duly registered under the laws of Cyprus. This company is mainly active in the printing sector and specializes in magazines, brochures, catalogues, business cards and general forms printing.
The joint company that will be formed up by the three companies above will be named United Printers P.C.L. Ltd. The three founding companies will transfer to the joint company their activities concerning the printing of magazines, brochures and catalogues, except for newspaper printing services that Proteas Press Ltd and Hermes Media Press Ltd provide.
