The Service of the Commission for the Protection of Competition received on behalf of G.D.L. Trading Ltd and Pantelis Soteriou Food Suppliers Ltd, notification of the proposed concentration according to Section 13 of the Control of Concentrations between Enterprises Law (Number 22(I)/99), concerning the purchase of part of the activities of Pantelis Soteriou Frozen Food Ltd by G.D.L. Trading Ltd through its subsidiary Pantelis Soteriou Food Suppliers Ltd.
G.D.L. Trading Ltd is a company duly registered in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Cyprus. GDL Trading is active in the importation and wholesale of frozen, fresh and other food, in the frozen food processing sector, and in the retail level through seven privately-owned shops. G.D.L. Trading Ltd is the parent company of Pantelis Soteriou Suppliers Food Ltd, which is a company duly registered in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Cyprus, established for the purposes of acquiring some of the activities of Pantelis Soteriou Frozen Food Ltd.
The target of this concentration is Pantelis Soteriou Frozen Food Ltd activities related to the wholesale of food and in the retail sale of food in Cyprus in four stores.
