International Competition Network (ICN)

The International Competition Network (ICN) was set up in October 2001 in New York during an annual Conference on competition law organized by the Fordham Corporate Law Institute.

The ICN is an informal network among developed and developing countries aiming at the application of competition policy worldwide. In particular, through dialogue and common approach by the national competition authorities, ICN encourages the dissemination of experiences and practices followed by either competition authority.

Besides, the ICN members constitute 90 national competition authorities from 74 countries worldwide, as well as the European Commission. Members are, also, various Non-governmental advisers who although are able to offer to ICN work, they have no voting rights on the network decisions. ICN's activities are carried out on a voluntary basis and rely to a greater extent on the goodwill and cooperation among its members.
