The Service of the Commission for the Protection of Competition has received a notification of a concentration according to Section 10 (4) of the Control of Concentrations between Enterprises Law of 2014, by EQT Services (UK) Limited, regarding the acquisition of part of the share capital of Safety Lux S.ΰ.r.l. by EQT Credit II and EQT Credit Opportunities III.
EQT Credit II and EQT Credit Opportunities III are EQT investment funds managed by EQT Services (UK) Limited. EQT constitutes a global investment firm that offers investors a wide range of alternative funds and other investment products. EQT also offers capital market solutions for its business, its portfolio companies and other clients. The private equity funds, managed by EQT, invest in companies in various fields.
The target in this merger is Safety Lux S.ΰ.r.l. and its subsidiaries (hereinafter the “Bartec”). Bartec is headquartered in Germany and it is a provider of explosion proof equipment focused on safety technology in industrial areas where there is a risk of explosion.
