Notification of a concentration concerning the acquisition by Hellenic Petroleum Cyprus Holding (HPCH) Ltd of assets of Jabril Trading Co. Limited

The Service of the Commission for the Protection of Competition has received a notification of a concentration, according to Section 10 (4) of the Control of Concentrations between Enterprises Law of 2014, concerning the acquisition of assets of Jabril Trading Co. Limited by Hellenic Petroleum Cyprus Holding (HPCH) Ltd.

Hellenic Petroleum Cyprus Holding (HPCH) Ltd is a company duly registered under the laws of United Kingdom, registered in the Republic of Cyprus as a foreign company and its activities are the supply and trade of liquid fuels, lubricants and LPG in the Republic of Cyprus. The supply and trade of liquid fuels as well as LPG in cylinders are done via a network of 94 stations under the trade name "EKO" and through independent resellers. The Hellenic Petroleum Cyprus Holding (HPCH) Ltd is a subsidiary company of Hellenic Petroleum SA group, the largest commercial and industrial group in Greece. The Hellenic Petroleum SA group is active in the sector of energy in Greece and in Southeast Europe and its activities include the supplying, refining and trading of petroleum products, the retail trade of petroleum products, the production and trade of chemicals/ petrochemicals, the exploration and production of hydrocarbons, the production and trade of electricity, the production and trade of renewable energy sources, transportation of crude oil and products (pipelines, maritime transports).

The target in this notification is an asset which belongs to the company Jabril Trading Co. Limited and specifically a fuel station that is located in Limassol and is active in supply and sale of fuels and lubricants for motor vehicles and motorcycles.
