The Service of the Commission for the Protection of Competition announces that The Goldman Sachs Group Inc., has notified the Commission for the Protection of Competition that it intends to proceed with the acquisition of part of the share capital of Xempus AG.
The Goldman Sachs Group Inc., a company duly registered under the laws of Delaware of Unites States of America, is a global company active in the areas of investment banking, finance and investment management, providing a wide range of banking, stock and investment services worldwide to a significant and wide customer base including companies, financial institutions, governments and affluent individuals.
The target in this merger is Xempus AG, a company duly registered under the laws of Germany, which is currently owned solely by HPE Growth BV. Xempus AG provides an online platform that connects insurance companies, insurance brokers, employers and their employees, where employers can procure and manage business benefits schemes and other insurance benefits to employees. The insurance products which are currently offered on the Xempus platform include life insurance schemes through which employees can save for retirement, and occupational disability insurance.
HPE Growth B.V., which will continue to hold part of the share capital of the target is a company duly registered under the laws of Netherlands, and is a technology investment company. HPE Growth B.V. focuses on scaling digital technology companies.
