Notification of a concentration concerning the acquisition by Hellenic Healthcare Holding Single Member S.A of part of the share capital of Aretaeion Medical Center Ltd, via Hellenic Healthcare Holdings 2 (Cyprus) Ltd

The Service of the Commission for the Protection of Competition announces that it has received a notification of concentration regarding the acquisition by Hellenic Healthcare Holding Single Member S.A of part of the share capital of Aretaeion Medical Center Ltd, via Hellenic Healthcare Holdings 2 (Cyprus) Ltd.

Hellenic Healthcare Holdings 2 (Cyprus) Ltd is a limited liability company registered in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Cyprus, established for the purposes of this merger. The said company is a subsidiary of Hellenic Healthcare Holding Single Member S. A. (hereinafter referred to as "Hellenic Healthcare") and is part of the CVC Funds. Hellenic Healthcare is a company registered in accordance with the laws of Greece and a member of the HHG group. HHG Group is active in the Greek market for the provision of private health services.

The CVC Network provides investment advice and manages investments on behalf of CVC Funds. CVC Funds holds share capital of various companies belonging to different industries, mainly in Europe, the U.S.A. and the Asia-Pacific region (the CVC Funds’ Portfolios). CVC Funds' Holding Companies are mainly active in sectors such as the private health services market, the port-marina market, the e-commerce market, dairy and beverage production sectors, frozen food, and Food and Entertainment Services.

Aretaeion Medical Center Ltd is a company registered in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Cyprus. This company is active in the provision of private hospital services.
