COMMISSION FOR THE PROTECTION OF COMPETITION

The Commission for the Protection of Competition received a notification of a proposed concentration regarding the acquisition of the share capital of REN Ltd and REN USA Inc. by Unilever U.K. Holdings Ltd.

REN Ltd is a company duly registered in accordance with the laws of England and Wales and REN USA is a company duly registered in accordance with the laws of New Jersey in USA. Both companies are active in the production and distribution of cosmetics and skin care and bath products under the name REN. REN Ltd operates in the Republic of Cyprus in the sale of cosmetics and products under the name REN.

Unilever U.K. Holdings Ltd is a company duly registered in accordance with the laws of the England and Wales and belongs to a group of companies controlled by Unilever Plc. Unilever Group supplies fast moving consumer goods for the food sector, the household products sector and the personal care sector. Unilever Group operates in the Republic of Cyprus through the company Unilever Tseriotis Cyprus Ltd, Unilever Pmt Ltd and Rychkon Ltd in the areas of food, household products and personal care.
