COMMISSION FOR THE PROTECTION OF COMPETITION

The Service of the Commission for the Protection of Competition received, on behalf of Akzo Nobel Coatings International B.V, notification of a proposed concentration according to section 13 of the Control of Concentration between Enterprises Law (Number 22(I)/99), concerning the acquisition of Metlac Holding S.r.l and Metlac S.p.A by exercising a call option right.

Akzo Nobel Coatings International B.V is active in the metal packaging coating and decorating ink.

Metlac Holding S.r.l is a holding company which owns a number of shares in Metlac S.p.A.

Metlac S.p.A is active in the metal packaging coating and decorating ink.
