The Service of the Commission for the Protection of Competition announces that it has received notification of a concentration, in accordance with The Control of Concentrations between Enterprises Law of 2014, from The Alexandrion Holdings Ltd (hereinafter “Alexandrion”), with respect to the acquisition of part of the share capital of V. M. Cavaway Limited (hereinafter “Cavaway”).
Alexandrion is a private legal entity, duly registered under the laws of Cyprus. Alexandrion constitutes the mother company within the Alexandrion Group and, through its subsidiaries, is mainly active in the beverage sector. Specifically, Alexandrion is active in the production, wholesale distribution and trading of wines and alcoholic drinks, such as, cognac, brandy, fruit distillates, vodka, white and flavored alcoholic drinks, gin, bitters and liqueurs, as well as sparkling and non sparkling wine. Alexandrion is also active in the grape production industry, the trading of coffee, chocolate and other non alcoholic drinks, the possession and exploitation of intellectual property titles, as well as in the development and coordination of projects in various fields.
Cavaway is a company duly registered under the laws of Cyprus and is active in the sectors of importation and trading (wholesale and retail) of alcoholic and non alcoholic beverages, such as wine (sparkling and non sparkling), champagne, beer, vodka, tekila, rum, gin, liqueur, brandy and whisky.
