The Commission for the Protection of Competition received a notification of a proposed concentration regarding the acquisition of part of the share capital of AC Boilers S.p.A. by Ansaldo Energia S.p.A..
Ansaldo Energia S.p.A. is a company duly registered under the laws of Italy and is active in the production, supply, installation and sale services for power plants. More specifically, its main business activities include stations, parts (gas turbines, steam turbines and generators), services and nuclear activities. Ansaldo Energia S.p.A. also engages in "distributed generation" through micro gas turbines and in the "waste-to-energy with Dry Anaerobic Digestion".
AC Boilers S.p.A. is a company duly registered under the laws of Italy and provides services for the design, supply and installation of utility boilers and Heat Recovery System Generators (HRSG), as well as after sale services.
