Notification of concentration concerning the acquisition of part of the share capital of ZŽOS Vrϊtky a.s., ŽZOS-EKO, s.r.o., ŽZOS-MEDIKA s.r.o., and ZŽOS TRADING s.r.o. by Tatravagonka a.s.

The Service of the Commission for the Protection of Competition has received a notification of a concentration, according to Section 10 of the Control of Concentrations between Enterprises Law of 2014, concerning the acquisition of part of the share capital of ZŽOS Vrϊtky a.s., ŽZOS-EKO, s.r.o., ŽZOS-MEDIKA s.r.o., and ŽZOS TRADING s.r.o., by Tatravagonka a.s..

Tatravagonka a.s. is a company duly registered in accordance with the laws of Slovakia. This company is active in the production of wagons, the production of stretchers for wagons, the renovation of railway vehicles and the production of spare parts for wagons. Tatravagσnka carries out the following activities through its subsidiaries: production and assembly of steel structures, locks and welding, reconstruction, correction and renovation of wagons, production of bearing housings and forks, production of frames for semi-trailer trucks, production of components for agricultural machinery, production of components for machinery in the petrochemical industry, production of frames for wagons and production of pressure vessels (the component necessary for brakes) for railway and road vehicles.

The target in this concentration ae the enteprises ZŽOS Vrϊtky a.s., ZŽOS-EKO, s.r.o., ŽZOS-MEDIKA s.r.o., and ŽZOS TRADING s.r.o., which are duly registered in accordance with the laws of Slovakia. These companies are active in the production of passenger wagons (coaches) and diesel multiple units, in the maintenance/repair of passenger wagons, machinery and engine parts, in waste management, hazardous waste management and water management activities, in the provision of healthcare services in the territory of Slovakia, and in the market for spare parts and accessories for passenger wagons (coaches) and diesel multiple units.
