COMMISSION FOR THE PROTECTION OF COMPETITION

The Service of the Commission for the Protection of Competition has received a notification of a concentration concerning the acquisition of the of the “Reference Standards” business of Lipomed AG by LGC Science Group Holdings Ltd.

LGC Science Group Holdings Limited is based in the United Kingdom and it is a global lifescience tools company that provides key components and solutions to high-growth application areas in healthcare industries. LGC Science Group Holdings Limited is indirected jointly controlled by the funds managed by Astorg Asset Management S.à r.l, and by Cinven private equity.

The “Reference Standards” business of Lipomed AG (hereafter the “Target”) is owned by Lipomed AG, a company duly registered under the laws of Switzerland. The Target is active in the manufacture and supply of analytical reference standards and accreditation for production of reference material.
