The Service of the Commission for the Protection of Competition announces that it has received a notification of concentration regarding the acquisition of assets related to the pharmaceutical product Nebido by Grunenthal GmbH from the Bayer Group

Grunenthal GmbH is a company registered under the law of Germany. Grunenthal GmbH and its subsidiaries are active in the development, production and supply of pharmaceutical products. Grunenthal GmbH specializes in the development and production of products for pain management and for related diseases.

Bayer Aktiengesellschaft is a company registered under the law of Germany and member of the Bayer Group of companies. The Bayer Group is active in the areas of health care and agriculture.

The target is this proposed transaction is the pharmaceutical product with the name Nebido (testosterone undecanoate) developed by the Bayer Group.
